| Immigration |
Seems I got a letter in the mail today from my employer. They want me to sign a form showing that I am 1) a US citizen or 2) a LEGAL immigrant. (I work nominally for the government) I have no problem with this and am actually glad to see them doing it. It’s about time enforcement of the law became something an employer would want to do. I was looking at the form to figure out why me (I’ve worked there for 4+ years now) and saw that it was policy that everyone hired after April 2002 had to submit the form. This makes me both happy and sad. Happy that something is being done at my employer for legal immigration (even though it is not a ’hotbed’ of illegal activity) and at the same time very sad that it took over 5 years to implement this simple form. Friday Free-for-all at StoptheACLU!

| Slain boy's father arrested on an unrelated charge |
A new twist on the story I posted on July 18 about the mother of a slain 4 year old facing deportation.
Now we have the father of that same boy getting arrested in Lexington, KY on charges not related to the murder. But they are related to his status as an immigrant.
Louisville Courier-Journal
Slain boy's father arrested on an unrelated charge
César Aguilar, the father of the 4-year-old boy whose body was found in a garbage truck last month, was arrested yesterday in Lexington on charges unrelated to his son's death. Aguilar is being held at the Lexington-Fayette County Detention Center on possession of a forged instrument, a class D felony, and several traffic violations. Federal immigration authorities also placed a hold on Aguilar at the jail, according to jail records.
The story then mentions funeral arrangements and how this poor man may not be able to attend. *sniffle* Please excuse me while I get a tissue.
Aguilar was booked into the jail under the name Carlos Contreras-Salazar. Family members say his birth name was César Aguilar, said Christopher 2X, a community activist and spokesman for the family. Aguilar is scheduled to be arraigned on the charges at 12:30 p.m. today. Lexington Police pulled him over about noon yesterday at New Circle and Leestown roads. Police found he was driving without a license, insurance or current registration plates, according to jail records. His vehicle also had no windshield wipers, which carries a charge of driving with obstructed vision.
Under his picture the caption reads: "César Aguilar was being held on possession of a forged instrument." I am purely speculating here but I assume that means he had false identification. So chances are that this guy is in the country illegally. Driving without a driver's license. No insurance. Expired tags. False I.D. Great. Just great. This family is turning out to be a bunch of fine upstanding citizens.
Hopefully both the mother and father will face consequences for their actions. In my opinion, the mother should be deported as soon as the police are able to get enough information to convict her son's murder. The father should spend time in jail for all of the charges he is currently facing. Then, as soon as he is done with that, boot his ass out of the country.
If you want to come here and be a part of the greatest country in the world, do it the right way. Follow the rules and wait your turn like millions have before you. If you choose to break the law and come to, or remain in, this country illegally I will have no sympathy for you. Hasta la vista. Don't let the door hit you where the good Lord split you.Labels: arrest, forgery, illegal immigration, immigration, kentucky, lexington, louisville, murder |

| What's wrong with (illegal) immigration? |
Taking the jobs that Americans won't:
INVASION USA Deported illegal who shot officers killed California patrolmen fired on as they sat in their cruiser Posted: December 29, 2006 1:30 p.m. Eastern
© 2006 WorldNetDaily.com An illegal immigrant who had been deported from the United States several times but returned each time and now was being sought for wounding two police officers in Long Beach, Calif., has died in a shooting with officers who tracked him to a taco stand in Santa Ana, authorities have confirmed. Oscar Gallegos | Santa Ana Police Chief Paul Walters said Oscar Gabriel Gallegos, wanted for the shooting of Long Beach officers Abram Yap and Roy Wade Jr. as they sat in their squad car Dec. 22, died while trying to shoot three of his officers with a .40-caliber Glock equipped with a laser sight. Walters told the Orange County Register that Gallegos carried two fully loaded magazines in his pocket during the confrontation. "He was either going to kill the officers or be killed," Walters said. "Fortunately, the right person got killed." The Long Beach officers, who had stopped Gallegos for running a red light, are recovering from their injuries in the hospital, officials said. (link) This guy should be the poster-boy for illegal immigration. At least he won't be shooting at American citizens anymore. Of course, the fact the he was here illegally doesn't mean he wouldn't have done this type of thing if he was a legal immigrant, but it does show the danger of having illegals here. It's bad enough when people who have the RIGHT to live here do this kind of thing, but for us not to work on our borders in light of situations such as this is reprehensible.
Capitalism at it's finest:
Haitian refugees come ashore at Jupiter Island By Kevin Deutsch Palm Beach Post Staff Writer Thursday, December 28, 2006 UPDATED: 11:44 p.m. December 28, 2006 Two Haitians were found dead after a group of about 17 boaters came ashore near Jupiter Island Thursday night, likely as part of a drug and human trafficking operation, authorities said. The group reached land about 9:45 p.m. near 691 South Beach Road, near the Martin-Palm Beach County line, and scattered into a wooded area. They left drugs and guns at the scene, then led authorities on a massive manhunt that spanned both sides of the county line. Officials found two dead people in the area, at least one in the water. Believing the rest of the group might be armed, about 80 law enforcment officials from at least five agencies fanned out using K-9s and helicopters, according to the Martin County Sheriff's Office. Deputies considered the group armed and possibly dangerous. They urged Jupiter Island residents to call 911 if they saw anything suspicious. Based on the number of footprints in the area and other information, deputies believed there were about 17 boaters, including the two found dead. By 11 p.m., authorities captured 11 boaters and about three or four others were still on the loose, said Martin County Sheriff's Office Sgt. Bruce Pinkman. Helicopters roamed the skies above the county line, spotting fleeing boaters and radioing their location down to authorities on the ground, who captured them. The boaters were detained at a nearby park, authorities said. (link) Seriously, these guys were just looking to get into business, what's wrong with that? Hopefully they will catch the rest of the scum and deal harshly with them. Deportation should be the final order after some serious jail-time. Florida is bad enough (see statitics on crime) without the worlds' criminals crashing the party. __________ Reason amongst the dhimmikrauts Filed: illegals, crime, drugs, justice, LordNazhLabels: crime, drugs, immigration |
