| Happy BDay Little Satan! |
Luftwaffe era air raid horns wail. A crunk up beat clips Klipsch speakers (H/T Dr Fred Kaplan) and a sexyiful siren oozes cooing about her sweet tight goodies - like an irresitable pie on a window sill.
"When I come to the club, step aside (Oh Snap!) Part the seas, don't be have me in no line. (Oh Snap!) V.I.P., 'cause you know I gotta shine." Oh Snap!
Happy BDay Little Satan!
Some things just get better as time goes by. And just like Great Satan, Little Satan continues to cruise. Totally off the hook in any endeavor - arts, academics, the Beatles, biz, communication, education, medicine, science, space exploration, tech - Little Satan is one sexy magical pixie.
Hotter than a firecracker and twice as loud Little Satan is also nigh indestructable. And She knows it!
"And I'm like get up out my face, (Oh Snap!) 'fore I turn around and spray your asset with mace. (Oh Snap!) My lips make you wanna have a taste. (Oh Snap!) You got that? I got the bass. " Oh Snap! Hanging in apparently the only spot ever in the ME with like zero oil (compy speaking), no friendly homies on her borders, a tiny pop, little real estate (after the show ho's like Gaza, WB and Har Dov Frams included - Little Satan "occupies" less than 1% of the Arab world and less than 1/10th of a % of mohammedist turf), no Suez Canal, no militias or resistance movements, Little Satan's very existence gives the eternal finger to all her failed, backwards, repressive hoodies.
She is far superior, far more humane than Hosni's Egypt, Abdullah's (v2.0) Jordan, Bashar's Syria and ex colonies like Abbas' West Bank , HAMAS' Gaza Strip, Royal Saudiland and embattled Lebanon.
Beaches and biotches - Little Satan puts the 'HO' in "Holy Land."
And like the predator boi down the street (THAT LOOK) - Little Satan's neighbors in the hood just can't let go. They want her soooo bad - If only their hot frenzied fantasies could come true - all would instantly be right in their world.
The tingly feeling would last forever!
"On a certain day everything would be obliterated and instantaneously reconstructed and the new inhabitants would leave, as if by magic, the land they had despoiled; in this way will justice be dispensed to the victims." What the heck is it about about less than 7 million people and turf tiny -er than the Garden State? Why cause Little Satan functions like a rocket rich reject magnet?
Because! Arab consensus is off the hook. Expertly christened the Little Satan - she is the sole soul cause of all the ME's probs.
Al-Jazeera's commandant editor Ahmed Sheikh explains
"The Palestinian cause is central for Arab thinking. It's because we always lose to Israel. It gnaws at the people in the Middle East that such a small country as Israel, with only about 7 million inhabitants, can defeat the Arab nation with its 350 million.
That hurts our collective ego. The Palestinian problem is in the genes of every Arab. The West's problem is that it does not understand this.
In many Arab states, the middle class is disappearing. The rich get richer and the poor get still poorer. Look at the schools in Jordan, Egypt or Morocco: You have up to 70 youngsters crammed together in a single classroom. How can a teacher do his job in such circumstances? The public hospitals are also in a hopeless condition. These are just examples. They show how hopeless the situation is for us in the Middle East. " Oh Snap! Little Satan - has survived - despite revolutionary Pan Arabic Nat'lism, reactionary mohammedism and the best goodies Warsaw Pact time Russia could create, share and deploy.
And this is the real prob for Nakbahland.
Little Satan gives more than the finger - she reflects what could have been - like a mirror - and mirrors don't lie.
Unlike her neighbors - Little Satan has military prowess - yet she's unmilitaristc. She accomodated all faiths - yet remains secular. She absorbs refugees from the entire world - creating loyal, productive citizens throughout an Alamo - Masada environment that created sustained and maintained a tolerant, egalitarian democracy.
The hood of the ME could have learned from this but it didn't. Michael Orrin explains in "6 Days of War" that Little Satan's ME hoodmates are driven.
"Forbidden by dictatorial regimes to voice political ideas on any subject but Israel and increasingly driven by the lack of basic freedoms."
Missile magnetic wicked free Little Satan - unabashedly swinging her skirt flirt high enough to almost see her goodies, busting out with bling, high tech and the most PHD's per capita in the entire ME (135 per 10K for staticians).
Chief Economist and director of the Global Competitiveness Network, Augusto Lopex-Claros, confides:
"Israel has become a world technology powerhouse, and this is beginning to have favorable demonstration effect on the rest of the economy. Israel has benefited from the development of culture of innovation, supported by first-class institutions of higher education and scientific research." Little Satan's 60th paints a pic of what could have been. A liberal polity in ancient lands sharing an unbridled affinity for freedom of choice sans antique avatistic tribal superstitions, poverty and abject cruelty.
It's only fitting that Great Satan hits the hood to celebrate with true soul mates in recognition of Little Satan's sometimes perilous, sometimes scary yet always relentless march to hold freedom's lamp aloft in shedding light on a true path to success.
And that mirror lamp reflects more than jealousy and failure
"They do not hate the West because of Israel, they hate Israel because of the West -- because they see it is an island of Western democratic values in a sea of despotism." And Great Satan brings bling to gift her spiritual little sister on this especial joyful moment. Like military pacts and a fully crunk brand spanking new missile killing X Band Radar system that puts the 'ill' in rocket shield.
Created by Raytheon, Great Satan admits X Band is a relentless tracker that can track a baseball from like a range of nearly 3K miles (4.8K kilometers for the metrically inclined) away.
Such bling renders Persian, Gazan or Hiz'B'Allah missilery wizardry about as worthy as a no game player perched on the passenger side of his best friend's ride trying to holler at hotties. Totally null and void.
It is only cool and natch for Great Satan to hook up with Little Satan - just like best girlfriends forever - nigh indistinguishable.
"That is why they call Israel the Little Satan, to distinguish it clearly from the country that has always been and will always be the Great Satan – The United States of America." Oh Snap!

| Ahmadinejad |
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Thursday that the state of Israel is a "stinking corpse" that is destined to disappear, the French news agency AFP reported. "Those who think they can revive the stinking corpse of the usurping and fake Israeli regime by throwing a birthday party are seriously mistaken," the official IRNA news agency quoted Ahmadinejad as having said. "Today the reason for the Zionist regime's existence is questioned, and this regime is on its way to annihilation." Ahmadinejad further stated that Israel "has reached the end like a dead rat after being slapped by the Lebanese" - referring to the Second Lebanon War in the summer of 2006. | Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad Photo: AP | The rat speaks again. Of course this will be spun so many times that it will sound like he's just talking about what 'might' happen in some distant future and not what he plans. I'd be more interested in seeing the text before the AP got their hands on it to see what it really says. There are those that still believe Mahmoud isn't out to destroy Israel; some of those actually help him and some are just willfully ignorant.

| One K'Ssam Away |
"It begins with a single Qassam rocket, one of the thousands of homemade projectiles fired in recent years by the Islamic radicals of HAMAS from the Gaza Strip into southern Israel. The rockets have made life nightmarish for many Israelis but have largely missed their targets. But this one gets "lucky": It smashes into an elementary school, wounding 40 children and killing 15."
From such a scary pic start off - random targeting of a school mind you - it gets worse. Little Satan finally says the heck with it and launches an old school panzer strip blitz. Lured into armor kill zones ala Kursk, house to house fighting like Fallujah and Jenin break out.
HAMAS screams "Massacre! Massacre!" and instantly the lame stream media does a 24/7 complete with Gaza Green Helmet guys, freshly displayed deceased innocents and the result is outrage and violent riots throughout the ME.
Basharopolis acts out with a real live military attack on the Golan Heights.
Little Satan absorbs the attack, counters and Syria retaliates with chemical warheads on Little Satan's cities. The IAF begins turning entire blocks of government ministries and complexes into huge smoking craters in the oldest continually inhabited city in the world.
"Sound fantastical or too horrific to ponder? Not to Israeli intelligence analysts it doesn't. The Israeli military recently conducted a round of large-scale war games based precisely on this scenario. In some rounds, Israel managed to humble Hamas and Hezbollah while shooting down most of the Iranian and Syrian rockets with its own Arrow and Patriot antimissile systems. But other forecasts went far less well: Israel survives but barely, with its cities devastated and countless civilians killed."
Now the cat who paints such a realistic(?) pic is Michael Oren. A very good historian, 2 of his books are def must haves - "Power, Faith, and Fantasy (America in the Middle East 1776 to the Present)" and the essential "6 Days of War - (the Making of the Modern Middle East)." Dr Oren's prescrip is to point to the 6 Day War. The ME is a lot like it was way back then. And a lot different too. "A conflict between Israel and Iran might not last six days but six hours, unleashing shock waves even more seismic than those of 1967." Raining K'Ssam rockets (40 on Wednesday alone) with no end in sight is totally uncool in a dangerous way. Until recently, HAMAS has been faking it . Little Satan so far has kept up a relentless stealth campaign as her spy guy military ops rip through the HAMAS terror fanboy groups, instead of unleashing an all out assault to retake Gaza and keep it this time. All that could change very soon. It's only one K'Ssam away.

| Blood Libel |
The al Durah blood libel
Wednesday, 14th November 2007 I am in Paris where I have attended the Court of Appeal special session called to witness the 27 minutes of hitherto unseen footage of the ‘killing’ of Mohammed al Durah which the court had required France 2 to produce. For readers who are unfamiliar with this scandal, I wrote about it here, here and here. Suffice it to say here that the iconic image of the child Mohammed al Durah, pictured crouching with his father behind a barrel next to a concrete wall in an apparently vain attempt to shelter from the gun-battle between Israel and the Palestinians that was raging around them before he was allegedly shot dead by the Israelis, served to incite terrorist violence and atrocities around the world after it was transmitted by France 2 at the beginning of the second intifada. Yet it is clear to anyone looking at this in detail that the whole thing was staged, not least from the devastating evidence here which shows the boy raising his arm and peeping through his fingers seconds after the France 2 correspondent Charles Enderlin said he had been shot dead. [link]
In a hurry so can't comment atm.
*update: This scene was partially (if not wholly) responsible for the 2nd infitada against Israel and is utterly fake. It behooves responsible news people everywhere to not only look at what they have, but to check and make sure they are actually reporting and not making it up (yes I'm looking at you Dan). No one knows if things would have been different without this heinous video from France2, but that doesn't stop one from wondering exactly how much bloodshed this newsman and his camera man have on their hands. Will they pay for it? I seriously doubt it. In the minds of the public they may get raked over the coals for a few weeks or months, but it is very hard for me to believe that the government will pose any severe penalties on these monsters. The Thunder Run has a nice roundup of news from the MSM, the front and bloggers: here Labels: Israel, palestineans, terrorists |

| Peace |
JERUSALEM - At the outset of Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice's latest diplomatic mission to the region, Israel's top negotiator acknowledged on Sunday that there were problems trying to frame a blueprint for a peace deal with the Palestinians.[link] You think? I may not be the smartest person on the planet, but even I can see there will be problems making a peace deal with a group that has not honored one yet; nor have they stopped randomly sending rockets into civilian population in Israel. But of course, that won't stop everyone from thinking that we are thisclose to making a deal. The two sides are at odds over whether the blueprint should spell out ways to resolve issues that have derailed peace talks in the past — namely, final borders between Israel and a future Palestinian state, sovereignty over disputed Jerusalem, and a solution for Palestinians who became refugees after Israel's creation in 1948.
Israeli and Palestinian teams have been meeting in hopes of reaching the outlines of a future peace agreement, which they hope to present at a U.S.-hosted Mideast conference expected later this year. They act like these are the only things that have 'derailed' the peace talks. There is no mention of the continued suicide attacks or rocket attacks initiated by Hamas and Fatah into Israel. And of course there won't be. It is not polite to point out that one side of this peace 'table' is not interested in peace of any kind except the final peace of the Jewish state. Israel and the United States are bargaining only with the moderate government of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in the West Bank, freezing out Islamic Hamas militants who seized control of the Gaza Strip in June.
"There is a willingness to do this, even though the situation on the ground, especially in Gaza Strip, is complicated," Livni said. Fatah (Abbas) is only 'moderate' in relation to the bloodthirsty terrorists of Hamas. Without Hamas there, no one would be talking to the terrorists of Fatah either. Until or unless the Palestinean people decide to be ruled by something other than thugs and murderers, peace will remain 'elusive'. tag: terrorists, Israel, Palestinean, peace, Blogpower, LordNazhLabels: Israel, peace, terrorists |

| Racism? |
From MVRWC comes this gem:
Last week, Israeli MK Yossi Beilin introduced a bill into the Knesset calling for the expulsion of all Jews from Hebron. But, before the vote, MK Arieh Eldad announced he had prepared an identical bill… with one slight but important difference. Mk Eldad exchanged the words “Jewish Community of Hebron” for the words “Hebron Palestinians.” Otherwise, the bill was exactly the same. Beilin’s bill called to expel the the Jews of Hebron and Eldad’s bill called to expel the Palestinians of Hebron. and… oh! the outrage of the left! He called for the expulsion of Palestinians!?! Oh! Voices were raised, cries of racism rang out, to which, I have been told, MK Eldad replied, “What about you?” Indeed. Expel the Jews, that’s okay, but expel the Palestinians, that’s racist. Why? Why is it racist to expel the Palestinians and not racist to expel the Jews? Beilin’s bill to expel the Jews from Hebron was defeated 47 to 11. Eldad’s bill was not put to vote.
It's amazing what the left (no matter where they are) will decry while accepting anything that displaces the Jews.

| HRW attacks Israel (again) and Bad guys dead |
Human Rights Watch has decided that Israel acted wrong in firing upon Lebanon in the last little war:In its harshest condemnation of Israel since last summer's war, Human Rights Watch charged that most of the Lebanese civilian casualties came from "indiscriminate Israeli airstrikes," according to a report to be released Thursday.
In a statement issued before the report's release, the human rights organization said there was no basis to the Israeli claim that civilian casualties resulted from Hizbullah guerrillas using civilians as shields. Israel has said that it attacked civilian areas because Hizbullah set up rocket launchers in villages and towns. [link] It's hard to win if you're Israel, no matter what you do, or what they do (like anyone really believes that terrorists weren't using civilians as shields) you can't win. This is probably the first of many condemnations of Israel to come.More than 1,000 Lebanese were killed in the 34-day conflict last summer, which began after Hizbullah staged a cross-border raid, killing three IDF soldiers and capturing two others. They are still being held.
IAF warplanes targeted Lebanese infrastructure, including bridges and Beirut Airport, and heavily damaged a neighborhood in Beirut known as a Hizbullah stronghold, as well as attacking Hizbullah centers in villages near the border. {emp. mine-LN} You can readily tell the A(w/t)P wrote this article, they never seem to tell you that any of those 'civilians' were terrorists. Since there is no exact way to know exactly how many were, a little caveat would be welcome. At least they remembered who started the war this time.
Three slimes got their's:Israeli troops backed by tanks and bulldozers moved a kilometer (half-mile) inside the Gaza Strip to strike at Palestinian terrorists on Thursday, a day after Defense Minister Ehud Barak said a broad operation inside the coastal territory was inevitable.
Three Palestinian gunmen were killed and 12 people were wounded in a battle with soldiers, but there were conflicting reports on the details of the clash in the southern Gaza town of Khan Younis.[link] Of course there are conflicting reports, anytime you have 2 sides to something, you will inevitably have 2 reports.Meanwhile, IDF troops operating in the northern West Bank town of Jenin on Thursday arrested an Islamic Jihad member armed with a rifle and two explosives devices.
During the arrest a group of Palestinians at the scene hurled two homemade bombs at the troops. The soldiers returned fire and one Palestinian was hit by a rubber bullet. He was treated at the scene by an IDF doctor.
In addition, troops operating in the town also uncovered 30 pipe bombs in a vehicle. Bonus catches for the IDF, of course those poor terrorists are only fighting the occupation /sarcLabels: Israel, terrorists, war |

| Birthday |

From MVRWC a story about a 21st birthday that no one would want to have.
I can remember exactly what I was doing and where I was at on my 21st. It was a very nice, happy evening (playing and watching great pool players) and at the stroke of midnight (my 'actual' birthday) the lady behind the bar symbolically carded me (she knew why we were there) and after assessing I was 21, she lined up 21 shots of Jack on the bar and told me 'on the house'.
Yes I got plastered. Sadly Gilad might not even be alive on his birthday. Goto the MVRWC site and read the whole thing please.Labels: birthday, hostage, Israel, war |

Gazans Stream to Crossing with Israel By DIAA HADID, Associated Press Writer 2 hours, 31 minutes ago GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip - Hundreds of terrified Gazans fleeing Hamas rule were trapped at a main crossing with Israel on Tuesday, hoping to gain permission to pass through Israeli territory to sanctuary in the West Bank. Fearing death or persecution, Gazans began flocking to the Erez passage after Hamas militants wrested control of the coastal strip from Fatah security forces late last week. Israel, which has no interest in letting masses of Gazans pass through its territory and possibly destabilize the quieter West Bank, has refused to let most of them in, saying their lives were not in danger.(link)
This is a conundrum for Israel. They will let some pass (for humanitarian reasons) but the bulk of people will be turned away. While this is in their rights to do, and the smart thing to do; most of the world will renounce Israel's actions in this, implying that Israel has no rights in controlling it's own borders. Of course, this is not new, so shouldn't surprise anyone.

| More Terrorists Rockets |
May. 27, 2007 8:43 | Updated May. 27, 2007 21:14 Kassam hits house as IAF planes attack in Deir-el-Balah By SHELLY PAZ, JPOST.COM STAFF AND AP
Two Kassam rockets were fired from Gaza at Sderot Sunday night. No one was injured but one went into shock when the Kassam hit. One of the rockets hit a Sderot home that had been damaged by a Kassam in the past. The residents of the house were in Jerusalem when the rocket struck. Earlier, IAF planes bombed Hamas installations in the Gaza Strip town of Deir el-Balah Sunday night. A 35-year-old man was killed when a Kassam rocket slammed into the road near his car in Sderot Sunday morning, as rockets continued to rain down on the southern town. The man - identified as Oshri Oz, 35, from Hod Hasharon - was hit in the neck by shrapnel when the missile landed, and the car crashed into a wall. He was evacuated to Ashkelon's Barzilai Hospital in critical condition and died of his wounds shortly afterward. (link)

| Gaza Terrorism Watch |
Fighting continues in the 'cease-fire' of Gaza. More terrorists killed and even some rockets fired into Israel from some bored idiots who think the death toll isn't rising quite fast enough.
Hamas and Fatah are daily proving that they have no business running anything, from a government to a bakery. The people that live in the occupied palestinian territories would do much better to start applying for citizenship to the outlying countries. Not only are the two terrorist organizations killing each other during a 'cease-fire' (oxy-moron in palespeak) now they have decided that they need a new team in the fight.
The IDF had no immediate comment. Everytime that Israel responds to the Kassams fired into Sderot or anywhere else, this needs to be their response. Nothing more needs to be said. Only idiots or terrorists supporters are still clueless to whom is at fault, it won't matter what Israel said, these people will continue to blame them, so why give them any sound bytes?
A Palestinian attempting to fire Kassam rockets from the northern Gaza border was shot and hit by IAF aircrafts late Thursday evening. The strike was the fifth IAF operation in Gaza since Thursday morning. Earlier Thursday seven Palestinians were killed as IAF aircrafts fired missiles at Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip. In one of the airstrikes, three people were killed by an IAF missile fired at a vehicle in southern Gaza, Palestinian security officials reported. (link)
If you're keeping score at home so far it's civilization 1, terrorists 0 and not likely to change. It is beyond the pale that the West and most of the rest of the world still think these people deserve any concessions to statehood. Egypt, Jordan and two other key US allies, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, have been trying to convince the United States and Israel to accept an Arab peace initiative as a starting ground for relaunching peace negotiations. The deal offers full peace with all Arab nations if Israel withdraws from territories captured in the 1967 Six Day War and the creation of a Palestinian state.
Israel and the U.S. should tell the Arab world that they'll take 'full peace' at the current borders. Everyone with half a brain knows what happens when Israel withdraws from ANY land, there is no indication that this would be different. Full peace from the Arab world means little if the terrorists are simply going to keep firing on Israel. (link)
If they truly want peace in the Middle East, the world should turn a blind eye to Israeli defensive measures and declare the territory now owned by the palestinian-arabs a country. That way a true war can and would be waged. With any type of leader (not including Olmert) Israel could make peace in short order in that situation.
Until or unless people realize that you can't apologize for terrorists any more than you can rationalize for them, this 'peace' will continue unabated. The next time you hear of a 'cease-fire' or 'truce' in Gaza, laugh with the reporters, as they surely are. __________ Reason not used

| Can the Left hear? |
JPost reports another disturbing bit about the Palestinian 'Government':
Sheik Ahmad Bahr, acting Speaker of the Palestinian Legislative Council, declared during a Friday sermon at a Sudan mosque that America and Israel will be annihilated and called upon Allah to kill Jews and Americans "to the very Last One." Following are excerpts from the sermon that took place last month, courtesy of MEMRI.
Let's give these guys a state! How long will it be before they finally achieve their dreams of a Palestinian state and the destruction of Israel? Will it be longer than it takes for most of the left and Europe to take the wax out of their ears?
The Hamas spokesperson concluded with a prayer, saying: "Oh Allah, vanquish the Jews and their supporters. Oh Allah, count their numbers, and kill them all, down to the very last one. Oh Allah, show them a day of darkness. Oh Allah, who sent down His Book, the mover of the clouds, who defeated the enemies of the Prophet, defeat the Jews and the Americans, and bring us victory over them."
Sounds more like an Old Testament kind of prayer than something that belongs in the modern world doesn't it? It's not like these guys make a secret of what they want, they even tell you how they are going to do it (ie: Iran) and yet most of the left/EU still want to spend (waste) time and money trying to figure out why and how. They try to find a way to have 'peace' in the middle east. It seems increasingly clear that there are only 2 solutions left to have peace there. I'm sure the debates will be long on which is the better choice. __________ Reason not present Filed: Israel, palestinians, peace, terrorists, BlogPower, LordNazhLabels: Israel, Palestine, terrorists |

| Terrorism (deaux) |
Fox news reports on new fighting in the West Bank between Israel and the Palestinians.
GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip — Hamas militants called Sunday for a fresh wave of attacks against Israel after troops killed nine Palestinians in weekend fighting, straining a five-month-old cease-fire.
It's extremely hard to strain a cease-fire that has not stopped any fighting yet. Of course this has never stopped the terrorists of Palestine or the MSM from reporting it.In response to the bloodshed, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas' more moderate Fatah movement urged him to consider breaking off contacts with the Israeli government, despite his pledge to the United States to hold regular meetings with Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert. Hamas and Fatah are partners in a coalition government. One of the best things that could happen is that Israel stop talking to the 'moderate' terrorists. It does not matter what Abbas promises, the terror mindset is too deeply imbedded with Hamas and Fatah.
Among the nine Palestinians killed in the weekend upsurge of violence were two gunmen and a 17-year-old who died Sunday in the West Bank. The fighting also included a Palestinian rocket attack on the southern Israeli town of Sderot that damaged a home. Israeli officials defended the killings as part of operations that have drastically reduced the number of attacks against Israelis. Palestinian officials, however, said that the deaths jeopardized their efforts to expand the Gaza truce to the West Bank.
Of course, any movement by Israel will by default jepordize expanding the cease-fire. Of course, the fact that the cease-fire isn't even good on PAPER shouldn't come into the thinking of the reporter, nor his expected reader. No one media outlet has ever been accused of actually reporting this story neutrally, but you would think that the 'right-wing' Fox would actually play more to the middle and call a spade a spade, but... Hamas, which has killed scores of Israelis in homicide bombings, sought to rally other Palestinian militant groups in a new offensive that would shatter the truce in the Gaza Strip. "The blood of our people is not cheap," a Hamas statement said, inviting Palestinians of every ideological stripe to unite and "use all possible means of resistance and to respond to the massacres."
Of course your people's blood is cheap. When (for any reason) you can't convince some promising teen-ager or 'ripe' mother to blow themselves up to kill the Jews, you spend your time killing yourselves or training the children to do it for you. If you really think your people's lives are precious, maybe it's time for the 'leaders' to actually start acting like it. Governing isn't that hard a process; people have been ruling countries since shortly after people arrived. One or another of those examples should help the terrorists out. Miri Eisin, a spokeswoman for Olmert, said Israel "reaches out for peace, while at the same time we will always consistently fight against terror." Israel will continue its operations against Palestinian militants, she said, while "always doing our utmost to avoid any innocent casualties." Troops killed the Palestinian teenager Sunday in a village near Ramallah. Palestinian officials said he was throwing stones at an Israeli patrol when he was shot. The army said soldiers opened fire as the youth was about to throw a firebomb at a military jeep. Earlier, an army task force raided the militant stronghold of Nablus, killing two Palestinian gunmen, including Amin Lubadi, a top bombmaker who had been wanted by Israel for more than three years. The army said an Israeli soldier was lightly wounded in the battle.
Maybe one day they'll teach their young children and teens, that throwing stones (and/or firebombs) at soldiers does not lead to a healthy-long life. Yes shooting someone for throwing stones may be too much, but if you continue to do nothing, the stones will grow or the throwers will. Israel has acted more honorably than any country could expect in dealing with the terrorist menace of Palestine. How many countries can you think of that would not, by now, have razed most of the West Bank and Gaza to the ground? The palestinians have spent their anger, money and promise attacking the one country in the whole region that would have actually taken them in. It is no secret that every arab country bordering Israel has not made a home for their fellow arabs. It would hurt the despotic leaders of the region too much if they didn't have the palestinean-pawns to run the news and keep the eyes off of their regimes. In unrelated violence late Sunday, four Palestinians were killed in Gaza, two in a gunfight among family members and two others in apparently random shootings by criminals, security officials said. Also, shadowy Islamic groups sent warnings to cigarette dealers to destroy their wares and to barbers to close their shops. Internal violence has plagued Gaza for most of the time since Israel pulled out in 2005. Some has pitted Hamas and Fatah forces against each other, while other incidents involve family disputes or crime. (link)
How do they figure that this is unrelated violence? Any peoples that are governed by violence and beholden to terrorists will find a way to have violence if they cannot get to their 'enemies'. These people deserve a home, but not a state. There is no way that they can seriously be considered 'humane' enough to be given a state (note: if they already had a state, ex. N. Korea, then they'd simply be a horrible country) of their own. They simply cannot govern themselves. If the 'people' truly want a state, they will show it by getting rid of the terrorists. Unlike 'most' worldwide terrorism where the perpetrators are shadowy figures rarely known until they strike, in this land, their is common knowledge of who is who. __________ Reason to weep

In the neverending saga that is the Middle East, we have yet another terrorist orginization that says it will NOT stop attacks on Israel, not unless they 'get something in return'.
Israel has been giving since the return of the Jews in 1948 and nothing has changed. Nothing will change today if Israel gives again. The Palestinian people will ultimately be the ones that (if ever) achieve peace. They will do this by renoucing terrorism and by finally not harboring the like any longer.
As long as Hamas, Fatah, Islamic Jihad and other 'political' groups are in play, the Middle East and specifically Israel will not know a moments peace. There will be pundits and arm-chair quaterbacks alike who will ask why? (The favorite question of a lefty) As, why do the palestinians hate Israel so much, why do they kill the innocent, why will Israel not talk, etc. The terrorists (just like the terrorists in Iraq, Africa, SE Asia and around the world) keep trying to tell everyone why they do things, what they are going to do and how, yet the left simply does not hear them and continues on their liberal agenda of mothering the world to death. The terrorists state explicitly that Israel must be wiped out, not that Israel must make peace, and that the Jews must be killed. Just as Al-Qaeda and others state that everyone will become a muslim or die, these messages are loud and clear, yet the left still does not hear.
What will it take for the left (and most of the international community) to finally wake up and hear the message? No one knows, it took World War II before people of that era finally realized that Hitler was serious when he talked of world domination. Maybe this time (of course history shows us that it won't happen) the left will wake up before the world goes off the precipe. For all the screams about the 'failed' Iraqi war; these pale in comparison to the silence on Dafur, Thailand, Europe and other 'hotspots' in the world where these animals have free reign with passive (if not active) help from the 'intelligent' peoples of the world.
Islamic Jihad denied reports Wednesday that it had agreed to halt rocket attacks on Israel. Reports in some Arab newspapers claimed earlier that the Islamist organization had reached an agreement with Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas to stop the Kassam attacks.
This story is a small story to the world, but it tells many what they need to know about the intents and purposes of the terrorists of that area and not ONE prominent leftist will make a note of this (unless it is to call Israel to listen, as if they have not been listening to the Muslims since the 700's).
Sooner or later all the terrorist problems will indeed go away. But will it be because we (the free people of the world) have carried the day, or will it be because the left and the cowards of the world have finally had enough and caused the capitilation of civilization as we know it.
I can only hope for me and my family that when the time comes to surrender, we are no longer are part of this world. With the current crop of leaders and high-ranking dignitaries in the world, global warming will soon come to mean a new thing if they don't finally get their heads out of the sand and start asking Why? As in why aren't we doing something about this. __________ Reason to questionLabels: cowards, islamists, Israel, leftist, Middle East, terrorists |

| Life and terrorism |
I seem to have some very serious MAJOR personal issues going on right now, so my posting will necessarily slow down. Hopefully Thai or EMB can jump in and fill-in for me.
I will still be posting, but it may (and probably will) drop to 1 - 2 items a day, everyday for a good while. For those that know me personally, send an email and we'll discuss it, I am not going to air dirty laundry or personal issues (such as this) over the 'net at least until the conclusion of such.

Jan. 12, 2007 16:38 | Updated Jan. 12, 2007 18:04 Four Kassams hit W. Negev; IDF troops find two bombs By JPOST.COM STAFF
Kassam rockets were fired at Friday from the Gaza Strip at southern Israel, as IDF troops operating in Gaza and the West Bank discovered and safely detonated two bombs.
Four Kassams landed in the western Negev on Friday afternoon. No one was wounded and no damage resulted from any of the hits. | An police sapper carries the remains of a rocket that landed in a field near Sderot, despite a declaration of a cease-fire. Photo: AP |
Notice the caption on the A(w/t)P photo? When will it occur to them that a 'cease-fire' by terrorist organizations is meaningless? What will the headlines be when/if Israel retaliates to these attacks? I'll bet that the press will brand Israel the aggressor for violating the cease-fire hehTM

| MySpace / Israel dreams |
For last minute travel, you don have much choice and cannot particularly look for cheap flights as well as economical hotels. Most probably you will have to compromise on the flights. For stay you can try the las vegas resorts and can use rental cars to travel in the city.
Any MySpace users out there? (of course there are thousands of them) You may want to read this article.
Technology This is the most recent version of this article. View article history. MySpace Users Big Targets for ID Theives Printer Friendly | PDF | Email | digg By GARY GENTILE, The Associated Press Dec 25, 2006 1:55 PM (1 hr 13 mins ago) Current rank: # 32 of 10,727 articles LOS ANGELES - MySpace devotee Kary Rogers was expecting to see a gut-busting video when a friend from the popular online hangout messaged him a link.
First, though, he was directed to a page where he was supposed to re-enter his password. Rogers realized that someone was trying to steal his information, and he didn't take the bait. At best, he would be spammed with junk e-mails; worse, the Web thief might steal his real-life identity. "I immediately went back and changed my password," said Rogers, 29, a network analyst for Mississippi State University in Starkville, Miss. Olmert decides that if the terrorists won't stop shooting, we'll give them more 'incentive':
Israeli PM Orders Checkpoints Dismantled By MARK LAVIE Associated Press Writer
JERUSALEM (AP) -- Israel agreed Monday to remove some of the military roadblocks that have hindered Palestinian travel in the West Bank, one of several gestures aimed at boosting moderate President Mahmoud Abbas in his bitter struggle with the militant Islamic Hamas. Prime Minister Ehud Olmert approved streamlining checkpoints and removing roadblocks "to strengthen moderate (Palestinian) elements," according to a statement from his office. Olmert has already offered $100 million in frozen tax income to Abbas and indicated he might release some Palestinian prisoners. Deputy Defense Minister Ephraim Sneh said inspections would be eased at 16 checkpoints, and 27 unmanned roadblocks would be removed. Also, crossings for people and cargo between Gaza and Israel would be upgraded "in order to accelerate the economy in Gaza to lessen the poverty and despair." Olmert singled out Abbas as a Palestinian leader who is interested in peace with Israel - a clear contrast to Hamas, which rejects the existence of a Jewish state in an Islamic Middle East and has rebuffed international demands to renounce violence. What will it take for an Israeli leader to step up and defend Israel? Probably about the same it would take some in this country to do the same (no names).
With all the carrots Israel has given the palestinian-arabs over the years, they should be fat and happy, yet with each new 'peace offering' only more rockets and terrorist attacks occur. The terrorists (Fatah and Hammas) aren't interested in making peace with Israel and never will be, they want Israel and the Jews to be destroyed. Just like Iran (who will shortly have the capability to do just that). Wake up folks, the fat lady is humming off stage. __________ Reason for Security

| Civil War in Palestine |
When will NBC call this a civil war?
Factional Violence in Gaza EscalatesWashington Post Foreign Service Sunday, December 17, 2006; 11:20 AM JERUSALEM, Dec. 17--Gunmen opened fire on the convoy of the Palestinian foreign minister from the governing Hamas movement Sunday in the tense aftermath of President Mahmoud Abbas's call for early elections. Hours later a mortar attack on the presidential compound in the Gaza Strip wounded five people and a Palestinian civilian was killed in running gun battles. Hamas officials condemned the attack on Foreign Minister Mahmoud Zahar's motorcade, which came as it passed through Gaza City, as an assassination attempt. There were no reports of injuries in the attack on the motorcade. (link)
Not that I'm complaining or anything, as long as Fatah and Hamas are attacking each other, that buys respite from their attacks for the Israeli people.
Now if the world would condemn this violence like they do any violence against the arabs living in Palestine, then it may be a step up. If Israel defended itself against an attack by either of these parties, there would be a new condemnation from the HR committee of the U.N., but since it is arab killing arab, not so much.
You ever wonder why we don't have headlines about factions in Israel killing each other over politics? Or that a red state in the US has attacked the leaders of a blue state? Maybe because the problem isn't with the 'civilized' countries at all, but with the backwater factions that think being a 'victim' entitles them to the right to kill anyone they please and get a free pass in the 'international' community and the MSM. __________ Reason among the dhimmikrauts

Dec. 11, 2006 18:42 | Updated Dec. 11, 2006 19:55 IDF soldier shot in head near Jenin By YAAKOV KATZ AND JPOST STAFF
An IDF soldier from the Lavi Battalion was moderately wounded Monday during IDF soldiers during a raid in Jenin. Photo: AP [file]
clashes with Palestinian gunmen in the West Bank town of Kabatiya, south of Jenin. The soldier was evacuated by helicopter to Rambam Medical Center in Haifa and was treated for a gunshot wound to the forehead. The soldier was wounded during a routine arrest raid in the West Bank town. An armed Palestinian opened fire at the military force and hit the soldier. Another soldier was lightly wounded during the gun clashes. (link)
Another clash in the West Bank while a 'cease-fire' holds in Gaza. It will take both the Israelis and the Palestinians to make peace if they ever do. You would think the first step should be for the Palestinians to stop ambushing the IDF. Sadly, that doesn't look like a scenario that will ever come to pass.
At least the two soldiers that were hit seem to be ok. Wounded, but not in any serious danger at this time. __________ Reason for statehood?

Dec. 10, 2006 13:21 | Updated Dec. 10, 2006 16:36 Syria moves missiles closer to Israel By HERB KEINON AND JPOST STAFF The cabinet at its weekly meeting heard a dismal assessment of the regional situation, as Brig.-Gen. Yossi Baidatz informed the government that Syria, concerned by the possibility of an Israeli attack, has stepped up its production of long-range missiles and moved anti-aircraft missiles to the front with Israel. | Syrian President Bashar Assad watches a training exercise through binoculars by one of the Syrian army's divisions in an undisclosed location in Syria, Monday, May 29. Photo: AP | "Everywhere you look, the extremists are on the rise, while those who want to bring about a new order in the Middle East are on the decline," Baidatz said, proceeding to paint a situation in the Gaza Strip in which Hamas was taking advantage of the cease-fire to strengthen itself and its military capabilities.
While for the most part, Baidatz said, the cease-fire has held, there have been 17 rocket attacks on southern Israel from Gaza. | Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, center, Transportation Minister Shaul Mofaz, left, and Cabinet Secretary Yisrael Maimon, right, are seen during the weekly cabinet meeting in Olemrt's office in Jerusalem, Sunday, Dec. 10, 2006. I hope no one is suprised that Syria is moving it's missles and anti-missle units closer to Israel. They must not think that the US and Israel will follow the ISG recommendations on Surrender by both parties.
Syria is just a bad event waiting to happen and hopefully the next time they get out of line, Israel will have someone in charge with the gall to do something about it. Why don't we give Syria to the Palestinians so they can have a state :)
Now for the idiot country award: .... France! (fwance)
Dec. 10, 2006 20:42 | Updated Dec. 10, 2006 22:36 France deploys UAVs to stop IAF flights By YAAKOV KATZ In an effort to put a stop to Israeli overflights in Lebanon, the French Armed Forces has deployed an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) squadron in southern Lebanon to conduct intelligence-gathering missions in place of the IDF.
France, a member of UNIFIL, has expressed adamant opposition to IAF overflights in Lebanon. Last month, OC Planning Division Maj.-Gen. Ido Nehushtan traveled to Paris for meetings with senior military officials during which he tried to explain Israel's operational needs. The flights, the IDF claims, are necessary for gathering intelligence and keeping an eye on the Lebanese-Syrian border through which weapons are smuggled to the Hizbullah. Notice the Fwench aren't deploying the UAV's for fear of Hizbullah rearming, they are doing it to stop the EVILTM Zionists from flying over Lebanon. France (and the UN) don't care if Hizbullah EVER disarms, all they care about is the prestige of being 'in-charge' of Lebanon and thwarting Israel. They've almost picked a fight with Israel twice so far. Heck we could give France to the Palestinians if this keeps up. [heh] __________ Reason amongst the dhimmikrauts
